Our specialty service

From Your Front Door to Your Safe Return Home.

A BrightLife medical companion is a trusted, vetted, background-checked caregiver who stays with you — before, during, and after your medical appointment or procedure.

Transportation Gets You There. A Medical Companion Stays With You.

A rideshare drops you off. A BrightLife medical companion accompanies you into the facility, stays on-site when needed, helps with discharge, coordinates your ride home, picks up your prescription, and makes sure you're safely settled before they leave.

The caregiver relationship is the service. Transportation is just one part of it.

Medical Companion FAQs

What exactly does a medical companion do?
A medical companion accompanies you to medical appointments or procedures, provides non-clinical personal assistance and companionship, helps with check-in and discharge, coordinates transportation, and helps you get safely settled at home afterward.
Is this a medical service?
No. BrightLife medical companions provide non-clinical personal assistance and companionship. They are not medical professionals and do not provide medical treatment, nursing services, or clinical care.
Can the caregiver stay during my procedure?
Yes. When the facility requires or allows an accompanying support person, your BrightLife caregiver can remain on-site during the procedure according to your agreed service arrangement.
Can you help with same-day surgery?
Yes. Many facilities require a trusted person to be present for outpatient procedures and same-day surgery. A BrightLife companion can fulfill that role and support you through the entire experience.
How far in advance do I need to schedule?
We recommend scheduling as early as possible, especially for planned procedures. Contact us to discuss your specific timing needs.
